Amazon Prime Video Ready to Launch ‘The Ride,’ a Documentary Look at Professional Bull Riders – Variety

Amazon Prime Video is set to launch a new documentary film, ‘The Ride’, offering an inside look at the world of professional bull riding. According to Variety, the documentary is slated to be released sometime this year and will take viewers behind the scenes of the most exciting and potentially dangerous sport on Earth.The film follows the lives of several of the top professional bull riders in the world, including PBR World Champion Jess Lockwood and four-time PBR World Finals qualifier Ryan Dirteater. It offers a unique look into the passion and dedication that each bull rider has for the sport, as well as the risk they take with every ride. Additionally, the film explores the special bond between man and beast as the cowboys attempt to stay atop some of the world’s rankest bulls.

“The Ride” follows the world’s top bulls and bull riders at the highest levels of the sport, showcasing the rivalries, injuries, comebacks and the sheer determination of the men and women who are part of PBR,” said Brad Beale, Amazon Prime Video’s Worldwide Head of Content Acquisition.

“The Ride” is directed by Zac Hug, whose credits include the Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning film “Middle of Nowhere” and “Czar of Black Hollywood. ”The film is produced by Zacky Adventure.
